AMERICAN EXPORTERS NOT SATISFIED. Received 10.20 a.m. NEW YORK, Dec. 14. Exporters are dissatisfied with the new basis whereon the dollar -will be converted to sterling for customersf purposes. This, added to the difficulty of negotiating drafts on Australia, will, it is believed, prove a deterrent to American exportations to Australia. American businessmen however, do J * not complain that the tariff (provisions unjust, but merely point out that they will retard business.
