SISTER LIGOURI CLAIMS, DAMAGES.

A writ has been issued on behalf or Sister Ligouri, the escaped nun who so much interest in August last, claiming £SOOO damages against Bishop Dwyer, Roman Catholic bishop of Wagga,- on the ground of alleged malicious arrest.
RIFLE SHOOTING.

The 'rifle meeting was continued under somewhat trying conditions. The weather was hot, and there was a shifting fishtail wind and a deceiving haze. In the teams match New Zealand beat Randwick Literary Institute ' (previous winners o\ the Sargood Gold Cup) by 1295 to 1250. The second stage of the King's Prize, 600 yards Vand 700 yards, was won by Kendall (New South Wales). In the first stage of- the King's Prize, Morgan, Croxton and Govenlock, with scores of 96, won £3 each ;
