FOOTBALL.
MATAROA JUNIOR .CLUB. - . A. meeting was held at Mataroa last week to consider the question of forming .11 Junior Football Club.‘ There was a good attendance, Mr. J. Thurston occupying the chair. It was decided to form a club to be called the llatatzoa, Junior Football Club, the subscription to‘ which was. fixed at 5/. The election of ofiiccrs resulted ‘as follows:—Patron, Mr. R. W. Smith, )[.P.; president, Mr. W. Dockery; vice presidents, Messrs. Siddle, M. Bennett, Thurston, Brown, Macdonald, Gonnolly, Sinclair, Bray, Ash, Williams, R. C.- Cleaver, C. Cleaver; captain, A. Dlycltei-y; vice-captain, A. Mzacdonald. The General Committee consists of" Messrs. J. Thurston, W. Brown, and B‘ennett. Selection Committee: )les€';s. Dockery l(sen.), Thurston and Bro 'n. It was decided to affiliate with the Union and enter for the Cup competitions. Rev. fir. Hocking was appointed delegate to the Union.
