MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE ' DISMISSED. WELLINGTON, June 19.. Sergeant Edward George Furlong Marsden, was to-day discharged on a charge of having on the 26th or May unlawfully killed Scrgeant—Major Samuel Stanley Choate, on the transPort Pakeha. ' ' Dr. Gordon, who was on the transport, said he examined Choates’ body, and found symptoms which pointed to a. fracture of the skull. He was of opinion that the fracture was caused by a. fall, and not by a. blow_ , The Bench (C _t.
