The total subscribed is £326,288, including £42,510 from Auckland, £5212 from Christchurch, and £SOO from Otago. A CURE ALL. SYDNEY, Dec 10. Inoculation for influenza is securing popularity in unexpected directions. One man claims that it has cured him of rheumatic arthritis. Another says it has rebbed him of a crop of Corns. RABBIT INVASION. SYDNEY, Dec 10. Rabbits driven cut of the back areas by drought have invaded the towns of Broken Hill and AA’ilcannia and devastated .gardens. As a result there is a vegetable famine. SENATOR PEARCE GOING TO ENGLAND. MELBOURNE, Dec 10. Senator Pearce has booked his passage to England early in January. Officials are reticent concerning his appointment, but it is reported to be connected with demobilisation.
