KING'S THEATRE. The star picture at the King's to-night is "The Secret of Eve," in which that powerful dramatic ana en.otional star, Madame Petrova, is seen to singular advantge. This is a play that will appeal to every woman especially, but which also attracts the sterner sex who are always interested in that which Interests their wom-en-folk. The main feature, or rather the central idea of the story is the sp-endid portrayal of the spirit of selfsacrifice that exists in every woman — the spirit that makes a true sweetheart, a wife, a mother. This old world theme which has travelled through life since the beginning of humanity —the secret of woman's power—is exceptionally well handled in this Petrova play. First it shows a mother's self-sacrifice, then the selfsacrifice of a daughter, and in that spirit of self-sacrifice is ,the spirit that was created with Eve. The supports include a weekly Gazette, Rex Beach trvaelogue, and a comedy entitled "Skirts." EVERYBODY'S. The star picture at Everybody's tonight is." The Straight Way,'' featuring that great emotional Russian actress ValcshaSuratt. The story is the pourtrayal of a woman's quest for happinessyand gives unrivalled opportunities for the great dramatic powers of Miss Sjuratt. A screemingly funny Hank Mann comedy, "His Final Blowout," is a sure enough comic film, and it has a number of things in it i that this reviewer has never seen before, Of this we can be sure, that - it will put no one to sleep, and that any audience will find plenty of good laughter in it. There will also be a Gazette and other, pictures.
