UNJUST RUMOUR.
As some ill-formed or ill-disposed person has set a runicjur afloat that Mr C. Kelly has sold his stables, horses and plant privately, and that there will be no sale by public auction, MiKelly states that he has advertised his property for sale and that every animal and every article will be publicly offered by Dalgety and Co., next Thursday, 18th July, commencing at 12 o'clock sharp. It is true that several people have approached him asking him to sell certain well-known horses, but Mr Kelly has informed all such that they must be bid for at the sale on Thursday, Everything is advertised for sale by a.uction and nothing will be sold privately. People hearing the rumours complained of are asked to take no notice whatever of them.
