National Dairy Show.
It would appear, writes our Palmerston North correspondent, that the big Show opening on Thursday is going to be bigger than ever. many applications fo/ accommodation from all over the Dominion which are pouring in on the secretary it would also apepar that it is going to be attended by a larger number of outside visitors than usual. At the present time the Show buildings ane humming; * with the bustle of preparations. There, are many new exhibitors in the Show this year, both in the British Trades section and in the other divisions. A great attraction will be an exhibition, of big game trophies from Canada, kindly lent by Mr. Jas. Dunning, 'of Remuera. The hall that has hitherto been used as a dining room will this time be filled with exhibits and the lunchebn fwill be. served under the grandstand.' A great crowd is expected both on Wednesday for the footbal matches and on Thursday for the sheep dog trials, in which latter event there are no less than 44 dogs entered. A most enjoyable and instructive time is looked for this week in Palmerston North.
