THE FISK JUBILEE SINGERS.

For many years the “Fisk Jubilee Singers’’ have been the household word throughout Australasia, They were first organised from the Fisk University, Nashville, Tennessee, by Mr. F. J. Loudin, who brought the Company to Australia in 1871. They again visited Australia in 1885, this time under the management by Mr. Jean McAdoo. The Company have now been re-organised by Professor C. A. White who for many years toured with Mr. Adoo, as Musical Director and will visit here on Friday next when they should receive a great reception. Since the re-organisation, of the Company they have met with great success throughout Australia and New Zealand and their forthcoming visit to Taihape should prove a powerful attraction. Miss Belle F. Gibbons, the lady baritone singer and leader of the Jubilee Choruses is still a power of attraction. In all the years the Fisks have been appearing before the public it is doubtful if they were" ever stronger than at present. The Company are ten in number ad everyone‘is-"a- first rate artist. The box plan is now open at Swedlund’s Music Warehouse, and seats also may bo reserved at the Town Hall.
