AMUSEMENTS.

KING’S THEATRE. One of the most sensational dramas ever screened in Taihape will be shown at the King’s to-night. "The Millionaire’s Double,,” is really one of the brightest and most interesting stories written. It is the story of a wealthy American,, who when his wife elopes with another man, closes his home and wanders about Europe with his valet. On the death of his wife he returns to New York, only to find that Bide B'ennington is forgotten qt his old haunts. He therefore seeks distraction in Japan jfind it .is while there that sensational developments j. take place in America, where his ‘ ‘ widow’ ’ appears, and it is round and, ether incidents that the sensational portion of the picture centres, as well as a great deal of the sparkling comedy with which the drama abounds. The picture is altogether an admirable one in which the comedy and dramatic episodes give a unique contrast to each other. Lionel Barrymore fills the principal role in an inimitable manner. The supporting films are also of great excellence, making the programme one well worth seeing.
