The New York Times’ Rome eorrepondent says the enemy bombardment is more intense in the . mountain regions, where an attack on a grand scale expected momentarily. Italian aviators report a tremendous concentration of enemy troops and material. The weather is clearing, which will enable the offensive to begin. The Italians are most confident of their ability to repel the assaults. MINOR ITALIAN SUCCESS. Received 10.50 a.m. LONDON, May 21. Italian official: One of our storming parties on Sunday night captured a portion of a trench at Caposile, and heavily repulsed a strong counter-at-tack in the morning. Allied airmen dropped eight tons of bombs on military objectives in Val Sugand.
