TENNIS

On Saturday afternoon an American tournament will be played amongst the members of the , Taihape and Mangaweka tennis clubs. It is expected that about twelve players will be present from Mangaweka. Play will commence at 1.15 p.m., to enable a maximum number of rounds to be finished before dark. The following pairs from the Taihape Club have been drawn, all pairs to play without handicap:—Mrs. Neagle ana P. O’Donnell, Miss Roberts and R. McDonald, Miss Gillette, and R. Smith, Miss Kearins and W. Bowden, Mrs. Wilson and Rev R. Fordyce, Mrs Ongley and L. O’Callaghan, Miss Mason and W. J. Munro, Miss M. Spooner and H. Absolum, Mrs. Webn and B. Kirschberg, Miss Rich and M. B. Barkman, Miss Kennedy and R. Ongley, Miss CKCallaghan and F. Hintz, Mrs. O’Callaghan and A. Wilson.

Ladies are reminded that Saturday wil be an “afternoon tea” day.
