FRANCO-ITALIAN SUCCESS. LONDON, Sept 11. Supporting the we captured a trench in the Devolval valley, Albania. BRAVE NEW ZEALANDER. GERMAN POST CUT OUT. LONDON, September 11. A dispatch from Sir Douglas Haig mentions, among others, the following incident, as indicating the general nature of the work: A Now Zealand noncommissioned officer on August 24 swam the River Douvo, reconnoitred for five hours and a-half, and found a raft, on which he returned. Later ho led a patrol across and surprised a German post, killing the occupants and returning safely.
