VALEDICTORY.

The members of the PresbyterianLadies' Guild met at the Manse on Thursday afternoon, to say goodbye to their late secretary, Mr W. J. Diunison. There was a good attendance, though the weather was most unfavourable. The President , Mrs on t behalf of the ladies of the guild, spoks of the good work done by Mrs Dlahiscii, and expressed regret at hev removal and wished her every happiness in her new sphere. Mrs Dinnison cordially thanked the ladies of the guild for their good wishes. On Friday morning the Rev. Mr. McDonald and Mr A. Spence waited on Mr Dinnison on behalf the Session and Managers' Committee of St. David's Presbyterian Church and presented him with a gold mounted Swan fountain pen as a small token of esteem. Both Mr McDonald and Mr Spence spoke of Mr Dinnison's faithful work as a member of the Church and Committee, and expressed \fhe hope that he would in his new place connect himself with the Church and still continue to serve the great interests of" its kingdom Mr Dinnison spoke of the happy f<si* lowship he had enjoyed in the Churffc '„ here of the Committee of Management,, and he would always Dook back with kindly memories upon his association with the Church at Taihape. Ho would seek, to serve the Church wherever his lot might be cast
