Rio de Janeiro newspapers state that 100 German gunboat men who were interned at Bahia embanked on a Swedish vessel which left Rio de Janeiro to meet the raider. A RUMOUR DENIED, Received 11.25. RIO DE JANEIRO, Jan. 2d. The Minister of Marine discredits the rumour that the raider has been sunk by the cruiser Glasgow. It is reported that the ships observed of! the northern coast yesterday were British, which were observing the correct attitude outside territorial waters. The Minister denies that the crews of the German gunboats interned at Bahia escaped to join the raider. Nevertheless it is noteworthy that the Minister does not deny that two German vessels were preparing to depart.

A VALUABLE CAPTURE. Received 10.35. LONDON, Jau 23. When the Germans seized the Prince Heinrich they found a Belgian aboard with a million francs’ worth of valuables, also diamonds amongst the mails, valued at twenty thousand francs.
