LONDON, Jan 14
The Workers' National War Committee, representing the Labour Party and the chief trade unions, is urging the Government to increase the separation allowance to 25/ for wife and 5/ for each child, exclusive of the allotment from the Soldiers' Pay Pensions, and a similar scale of pensions to totally disabled soldiers and sailors of 37/6, and 5/ for each child. The Committee urges that wheat and oats be sown on lands previously devoted to barley for brewing, and demand that private park lauds be cultivated before recreation grounds are ploughed up.
