COUNTY BOUNDARIES.

REMAKING T}Uk MAP. V A COMMISSION ■^RESTED. At the meeting of the Wanganul County Council on Friday the contemplated alteration of the county boundaries was again discussed. A letter was received from the Upper Wangaehu Road Board stating that they could not see their way to merge, and favoured the formation of a county of their own in puiereuce to thejoining either Wanganui or Rangitikei Counties. The Waimarino Council stated that they were submitting a proposed amended boundarVj but in two instances alterations were suggested to avoid dividing certain properties. The chairman (Mr> T. A. Bamber} said no difficulty would be experienced in coming to an arrangement with the Waimarino County, as they recognised that a readjustment of the boundaries was necessary. As far as the adjustment of other boundaries was concerned, the only solution would be the setting up of a Commission. The matter, was deferred for further discussion. \Jf
