M. OSSIPOFF, THE RUSSIAN BARITONE. To-night M. Ossipoff. the world-famed baritone, will give a concert in the Taihape Town Hall. Those who had the pleasure of listening to him on the occasion of his first visit will have pleasant recollections of bis vocal qualities. M. Ossipoff is the possessor of an exceedingly fine baritone vcice of wide range, whil e he has also a dramatic force that is both entertaining and educative. At times his singing is a form of semi-conversation, at other times passionate declamation, and again beautifully modulated passages. This brilliant, vocalist was for a number of years a leading singer at the Grand Opera, Moscow, and has also sung at all the leading theatres in Europe. He makes a special feature of including in his programmes a number of Russian folk songs,, and also arias from the old and modern operas. Fun his present tour he will be supported by Muss Ethnee Clegg, a young Australian mezzo--soprano, Miss Bessie Rogers, elocutionist, and Miss Sylvia Roberts, pianiste, M. Ossipoff will give one recital in .the. Town Hall on Monday evening .J*ixt. The bos plans are now open .at eSacrtwin ; s. THREE STARS. '•'!/ "Midnight at Maxim's," which Is considered to be the finest spectacular picture yet filmed, is the one to be shown to-night at the Three Stars. It is described as a series of vaudeville dancing turns at Maxim's, nmde famous in "The Merry Widow." It shows every dance, revue, parade and phase of life which takes place in New York. The programme includes a Tri-angle-Keystone entitled "A Dash of Courage," also "Excursion to Mount Blanc," Pathe Gazette, s.ho-.Mng the port of Salonika, landing troops, ammunition, etc. The programme is well worth attention. 'Another fine picture, "The All-Red Route," leaving Sydney, Auckland, thnough America, over the Rockies, through Canada, arriving at Liverpool, will be shown next week, particulars cf which will be given later. The stroy of the Bridge is preceded by a series of beautiful instructive pictures, illustrating the relations between capital and labour since the earliest days of the world's history.''
