WOMEN’S WORKING CLUB.

"PADDY’S MARKET.” Evidently the Paddy's Market, to be held in the Town Hall on Saturday of this week, December 16, is already attratcing the people of the district. On Saturday last, quite a number of people made their way 'towards the Town Hall, expecting to discover the Market in full swing. They found they were just a week ahead of the opening date. However, when they approach the Town Hall on the Saturday of this week, they will not be in doubt of the Market’s existence.

Promises of every variety of goods continue to reach the committees in a most satisfactory manner. The stall holders believe they will have an ample supply of goods to satisfy all. Just give us a ciowd of willing purchasers, and the Market will he a success in the opinion of all.

The entertainment committee is working strenuously in preparing preparing items of a lively and attractive nature.

The children attending the Market will find any amount of surprises in the baker’s .oven and the village pump. In these days many people desire to know what the future holds for them. Madame Erville may be consulted in her tent at the Town Hall both afternoon and evening. This lady has a great reputation as a predictor of the future. Satisfaction is guaranteed to every client, unless the client is too

curious. The Paddy's Market will open at an early hour of the afternoon, so that country people will have ample time to visit all the stalls, side shows, or tost their skill in the competitions before catching their trains. The members of the Women’s Work ing Club are anxious to keep a steady supply of comforts going forward to the men in the lield hospitals. They are willing to do all the work necessary, but their work has been hampered trrough lack of funds for purchasing the necessary material. The object of the Paddy’s Market cn .Saturday next is to secure sufficient funds to enable the Women’s Working Club to carry on its work satisfactorily for some time to come. Apart from the attractions of the Market, the people of the district should respond to such a worthy object, especially as the comforts go to boys from our own district.
