FAMILY DOCTOR IN DIVORCE .

ERRING MEDICO IN NEW ZEALAND. Mr William Haye, of Newton, Ferrers, in Devonshire, presented his potiJ tion for divorce in the court of Mr j Justice Horridgo at the Law Courts this week. He based his application for relief from the matrimonial yoke on the usual grounds, and named as His wife’s illicit lover Dr Arthur Edward Gladstone. , Counsel for the petitioner said that [the parties wore married in March, .1905, at St, Mewan,, Cornwall, X and lived together at Newton Ferrers and elsewhere, and there were two children living of the marriage, aged nine and seven years. The co-respondent was the family doctor practising at Newton Ferrers. In 1913 Dr Gladstone attended Mrs Haye, after the birth of one of the children,, and again in 1914, when sPrwas ill, he attended her. After that the manner of the respondent towards her husband changed; she was cold and irritable, and she seemed to prefer the society of Dr Gladstone. It was then ascertained that she and the co-respondent had gone off to New Zealand together, and the doctor was practising there.

Evidence having been given in support of counsel's statement, Mr Justice Horridge pronounced a decree nisi, with costs, and the custody of the children.
