SHOTS IN A BANK. CUSTOMER RESENTED NOTES. ACCOUNTANT ToSES AN ARM. MELBOURNE, March 17., A young man named William Jov. incensed at having received notes instead of gold at the London Bank, Ararat, went back to the bank, angrily demanded gold, and fired a shot out of a gun. The shot lodged in the arm of. the accountant, a man named De'mully. The accountant fired back at Joy, but missed him. Joy made ofiy and was pursued by a constable and a civilian. When the two men got up with Jov - struggle ensued, and both the constable and tire civilian assisting him were shot, but their wounds, were not serious. Joy was eventually secured, and taken into custody." Demully's left arm had to be amputated. VARIOUS INTERESTING ITEMS. SYDNEY, This Day.
