MEAT TRADES SUBSCRIBE £IO,OOO. LONDON, March 16. British subscriptions to the meat trades' Red Cross Fund have reached £IO,OOO. , LORD KITHENER'S TRIBUTE. LONDON, March 16. Lord Kitchener, writing to Mr. Gordon Campbell, says he is glad of the ■opportunity of testifying to the value of the services of the British Red Cross. The Order of St. John had rendered the Army Medical Corps admirable work. These societies carried out the beneficient task of helping the sick and wounded, arid had established a strong claim to the army and the community's gratitude. Their activities were worth the fullest support.
