I The "Daily News" says that there is little doubt that Lord Kitchener's sympathies are now definitely on the side of conscription. October 15 A communique states: A squadron. of 20 aeroplanes bombarded the railway station at Bazancourt. An aeroplane brought down a German captive balloon at Mouthois, also | an aeroplane at the Aisne. BRITAIN'S BIG PUSH. GERMANS CLAIM VICTORIES. LONDON, October 14. An official wireless from Berlin suggests, that the Britsli have re-openod the big "push." The German headquarters report:— While monitors wore shelling Wcs?ende and the artillery was shelling our positions north of Ypros, the British commenced an attack behind the smoke of gas clouds on almost the whole frout between Ypres and Loos. The High Commissioner reports: LONDON. October 15. At Jacobstadt there is an intense artillery fire and an-obstinate fight south of Schlossberg and in the neighbourhood of Garbnnowka. On the Pripet the Russians occupy the village of Kharpin. In Galieia the enemy assumed an unsuccessful offensive. There were violnt fights west of Trembowla.
