NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW 1915
Preparations for the National Dairy Show, at Palmerston North are well under way. Applications for space and entries in the competitive divisions have come in very freely pointing to a most successful Show. Special attention is being paid to the amusement of visitors this year in the way of ring OTyjflts, and each "day will be provided wM' a programme of interest to one section or another. For the first time history of the Show, School Sports were held last year. These are to be continued and will be held on the first day, June 22nd. A capital schedule of events has been drawn up Avhich should result in good sport. One does not need to say much about the Wanganui-Te Aute College football matches; they are too well known to call for any remarks save that they are to be contested on Wednesday, the second day of the Show, as usual. The big Hunters’ competitions for the Collinson and Cunninghame Cup, together with a display by the Maiden Hounds, is set down for Thursday, the third day, as also is the Maiden Hunters’ competition. For Friday (final day), leaping, potato race on horseback, and saddle walk and trot competitions are set down for ponies 14.2 and The two latter competitions are both new and should create a lot of interest. Anyone who is not in possession of a schedule should apply at once for one, as entries close on the sth June. The secretary is Mr. W. T. Penny, Box 85, Palmerston North, from whom schedules and all information may bo obtained.
