Taihape has made no. special provision for amusements duriujg tb!e Easter Holidays in the way of sports oxother outdoor enjoyments. For the evenings from to-night, when .this Plimmer—Hall Dramatic Company play the extremely popular "Lady Windermere's Fan" for the benefit of the Belgian Fund, . right on to Monday n%Kt the Town Hall is engaged by two of the best companies that have aver come to New Zealand. On Saturday evening the J- C. Williamson Company will present the great dramatic masterpiece, "Within the Law," and on Monday evening th e same company will play that beautiful conception "The Rosary." Open air sport s and competitions are being held in various parts of this On SatuHlay (the WBima> rino Caledonian Society holds its animal sports and competitions on the Ohakune Domain, at which one of thle great features will be the piping competitions between North Island and South Island pipers. On Easter Monday there is the great championship chopping competitors at Rangat: :a when champion will be pitted a?-•"•"' champion. The programme is one 01 the best that has lever baen put out and Taihape trippers wouid undoubtedly find the Rangataua "chop" a .most enjoyable outing. Also on Easter Monday there is a great athletic gathering and chopping competitions at Owhango, the handicaps for which will be publishiad in Saturday's issue. So that on Saturday-and Easter Monday all lovers of athletic sports and bushwork competitions will be amply catered for at either of the places mentioned.
