The successful tenderers for the erection of the Freezing Works expect to raalce a start immediately after Easter •and yesterday the Directors of the Freezing Works appointed a Sub Committe to make arrangements for a suitable ceremony when the foundation p.tone is laid.
At the meeting of directors of the Freezing Company, held yesterday, those present spoke in terms of appreciation of the exceedingly low cost of flotation of the company, a tribute to the cautious and economical yet efficient administration of the chairman of directors, Mr. H. 1). Bennett, and the secretary, Mr. Lionel Dixon.

Mr. W. Seth-Smith of Ohakune yesterday tendered his resignation as a provisional Director of the Farmer's Freezing Company. Air Smith was compelled to take this step as an accident of a few months ago has left ill effects which prevent Mr Smith leaving his residence to further , the interests of the Company by canvassing. The Directors accepted the resignation with regret, sympathised with Mr Smith and passed a vote of thanks for past services.
