GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING
A ms-cting of the General Committee was held last night, when twenty members were present. The President (Mr W. Dixon) being in the chair.
Leave of absence was granted Messrs Fannin and Gilchrist. Nine new members were elected: Messrs C. B. Allen, D. Aitchison, G. H. White Haw-era), S. C. Tirnbs, T. C. Martyn, F. A. Fullerton-Smith, G. E. Allen, E. McGcnno.ll, and Miss Jessie Campbell.
A letter was read from the Railway Department advising that special trains would be pic-video and excursion fares issued in connection with the Show.
Final arrangements with regard to the providing of the luncheon for officials and visiters on the ground was left in the hands of the Ladies’ Committee.
It was reserved tha.t in connection with the entertainment to be given judg't and visitors that admission be by complimentary or member’s ticket, members to be cTargeo 2s; 6cl. The distribution of complimentary tickets to be left in the hands cf the President, Chief Steward, Entertainment Committee, and the Secretary, to any cf whom members could apply for complimentary tickers for viral ors from a distance. A notification cf the entertainment to be inserted in the local paper. it. was decided that a Consolation Jump should be put on the programme for unplaced horses in the open, steeplechase and maiden jumping. Entrance fee 7s 6d. Prizes: Ist, Bridle presented by Mr S. A. Fraser), value £1 10 and £4; second, £2; 3rd £l. Record entries have been received for tire Show and it will undoubtedly be the most successful yet held.
