ITALIAN DEMONSTRATIONS.
IN FAVOUR OF WAR (Reed. 9.5 a.m.) ROME, Feb 11. Five hundred- political delegates, including members of Parliament, headed an imposing procession, at Padua, in favour of Italy assisting the Allies in the war. A Republican group carried a resolution urging recourse to revolutionary measures if the Givernment failed to join. RELIEF FOR SERVIANS. V3ORY UR GENTRY NEEDED, (Reed. 9.5 a.m.) LONDON, Feb 11. According to the American Committee, which has' been organised to secure relief for destitute Servians, 800.,000 Servians will starve unless they obtain grain for spring seeding. Fifty per cent, of their children are dying from exposure and lack of nourishment and medicine. Farms are devastated and buildings and implements destroyed. Their stock has been killed, and all able-bodied men are at the front. The women and children have to plant and cultivate the crops in the spring.
