RANGITIKEI, A. AND P. ASSOCIATION
COMMITTEE MEETING.
A well-attended meeting of the general committee of the Rangitikei A. and P. Association was held in the secretary's office last night. Present: Messrs W. Dixcn (chairman), C. L. Dymcck, C. Bray, J. H. Gilchrist, E. Anderson, A. Crawford, A. James, J. G. Oldham, D Addis, C. E. Darvill, G. R. Terry, G. D. Goodrich, Z. J. Davies, W. S. She wan, B A. Fraser, J. A. Andersen. A. R. Fannin, R. Wilkie. Messrs J. Wall and A. Swift were elected members of the Association. Leave of absence was granted to Messrs I'. O. Ccrnford and F. Hintz. Mr Wall was appointed judge 'of draught horses. A letter was received from the New Zealand Council c f Agriculture in respect to the recognition in some tangible form of the excellent work done on behalf cf the Agriculturists and Pastcralists by Mr Edwin Hall, who has recently resigned the secretaryship cf the Council. IV was proposed that a letter, embellished in parchment, signed by the varW >& prcyidents wculd be highly appreciated by Mr Hall! If all societies would join in contributing a small sum i ; might be possible to add seme article cf intrinsic value.
The committee decided tc fall in with the scheme, and"donated a guinea towards the general fund.
The following- donations were received with acclamation: Mr J. McHardy, 1 guinea; Mr G. Anderson, 2 guinea medal; Messrs Harris and Kelly, 2 guineas: Mr W..J. Jorgensen 15 guineas; Mr 0. E. Darvill, 1 guinea. The meeting adjourned with a vote of thanks to the chair.
