SHELL-PINK LACE AND CHIFFON FROCK IS CHOSEN BY BRIDE
MONAGHAN—BETRIDGE
At St. David’s Church on Wednesday evening the marriage took place of Doris, eldest daughter of Mrs. Betridge, of Whangapara, Great Barrier, to William, youngest son of and the late Mr. M. Monaghan, of Point Chevalier.
Tlie Rev. J. A. Thompson performed the ceremony and Mr. Craston played the wedding music. The bride, who was given away by Mr. G. Murray, of. Great Barrier, wore a frock of shell pink georgette with a shoulder cape of pale pink luce and the ankle-length skirt was composed of alternate godets of pink lace and georgette. Her veil of embroidered pink tulle, which formed the train, was arranged on the head with a silver juliet cap edged with pale pink orange blossoms and she carried a bouquet of pale pink flowers. Miss Dolly Monaghan, twin-sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Mona Betridge, sister of the bride, were bridesmaids, wearing frocks of cornflower blue and daffodil georgette respectively, made alike with ankle-length skirts finished with tulle hems. Their picture hats of lace straw, which matched their frocks, were turned back from the face and they carried bouquets of mauve and yellow flowers.
Mr. Harold Betridge was best man and Mr. W. Monaghan was groomsman.
