LACE ADDS CHARM JO WEDDING GOWN OF IVORY GEORGETTE
WRIGHT—AYLING A bridal gown of ivory georgette and lace was worn by Lilian, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Ayling, of Onehunga, for her * marriage to Charles Allison, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wright, One Tree Hill, at St. Peter’s Church, Onehunga. recently. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Beck.
Given away by her father the bride wore her frock fashioned with a flared skirt falling to the ankles with an uneven hemline. Her veil was of heavily embroidered tulle, caught to the head with a coronet of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of white carnations and hyacinths. Miss Lottie Ayling and Miss Eva Ayling attended their sister, wearing frocks of salmon pink and delphinium blue georgette respectively, made alike with, slim-fitting bodices and cape collars, the skirts falling in three tiers to the ankles at the back. They wore tulle headdresses and carried bouquets to tone. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Cufflin and Mr. Noel Wright was groomsman. A reception was held later at the Friendly Soiceties’ Hall, Onehunga, where Mrs. Ayling received the guests wearing a frock of navy blue crepe de chine, relieved with beige, and bangkok hat to tone. She carried a posy of red anemones and primroses. Mrs. Wright was in a frock of black georgette with a black hat relieved with blue, and she carried a posy of irises and freesias.
