CLAY BIRD SHOOTING
METROPOLITAN GUN CLUB The Metropolitan Gun Club held its fortnightly shoot on Saturday. The weather was fine, but shooting conditions were not good, there being a cold wind from the south-west. Results were: Seven Birds Sweepstake.—L. F. Ramsay (15yds), L. Peterson (14yds), A. E. Macredie (16yds), each shot the possible, and divided the stake. No. 2 Match, of 15 birds, for a trophy donated by Mr. E. N. Barratt. —L. Peterson (15yds), 13, 1; G. H. Brown (16yds), W. E. Parry (12yds). A. E. Macredie (16 yds), 12 each, took second and third prizes. No. 3 Match, 10 birds sweepstake.—J. r Whitney (13yds), 0,1; G. H. Brown < 15yds), 8. 2: W. E. Parry (12yds). L. F. Ramsey (14yds), 7, 3. No. 4 Match, seven birds, gimcrack.— J. C. Whitney and F. Keene shot six each, and divided the stake. The next shoot will take place on Scptember 13, when a trophy donated by Mr W. Keans will be competed for in a £l-birds match.
