NEARLY ONE-FIFTH OF CAPITAL For the year ended March 31, 1930, the net profit of Vocalion, Ltd., on a capital of £250,000, was £44,576, but the directors state that in view of the present state of the record industry, and the company’s programme in developing film records, they do not feel justified in recommending the declaration of a dividend. For each of the two preceding years 40 per cent, was paid. After providing for income-tax there will be £65,963 to be carried forward. IDtiring the last half-year, and to date, the company lias successfully regained its entire market as compared with 1928, the company’s most successful year. This year’s net profit represents nearly one-fifth of the paid-up capital.
