OLD ROAD TO BE CLOSED
ROYAL ARCADE IN DUNEDIN Press Association DUNEDIN, Today. Used since the early days of Dunedin as a public thoroughfare, the Royal Arcade is to be demolished. All the owning company’s shop tenants having been given a month’s notice, and as soon as the tenants vacate the place each end will be fenced. It is stated that the company has b6en approached with a view to the erection on the site of a modern hotel.
