PASTOR HONOURED
PRESENTATIONS MADE TO REV. J. W. KEMP BAPTIST CHURCH WORK Congratulations upon the completion of 10 years’ ministry at the Baptist Tabernacle were showeerd upon thc Rev. Joseph W. Kemp, at the seventyfifth annual meeting of members of the church last evening. The minister was entertained at tea, during which he was presented with a chiming clock and a handsome communion set on behalf of members, and also of the church. The presentations were made by Mr. F. N. Andrews and Mr. S. T. Page, church secretary. The annual reports traversed the work accomplished by the church during the year, which, however, had been difficult financially. The results however, appeared very satisfactory considering the prevailing conditions. The receipts amounted to £4,443, and the accounts were closed with a small credit balance. It was announced that special celebrations to mark the record of the Tabernacle in the near future will be held. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as under: —Secretary, Mr. Stephen T. Page; treasurers, Mr. W. H. Lamb and Mr. F. S. Battley ; elders, Mr. J. Bowman and Mr. D. Fountain; deacons. Messrs. W. R. Ellingham, W. A. Kendon. T. Cowden and W. M. Armour.
