Nurse McKenzie, who ha.s been Plunket nurse in Ngaruawahia, has left to take up duty at the Karitane Home in Dunedin. Before going South slie was farewelled by many friends in Ngaruaivaliia. Mrs. F. Moresby, of Palmerston North, is the guest of Mrs. J. C. Christie in Ngaruawahia. Nurse Eogerson has taken over the duties of Plunket nurse in the Ngaruawahia district. PARTIES FOR FUTURE BRIDE Miss Marjorie McAuliffe, of Rukuhia, who is shortly to be married, has been the honoured guest at several parties in Rukuh ia. On Wednesday evening many of her friends arranged a merry party for her in the Town Hall. Those present ail brought kitchen gifts for her, and in addition, Mr. H. Wallace, on behalf of the tennis club, asked her to accept a bronze fruit bowl. Songs, dancing and competitions kept all in gala mood. On Thursday afternoon Mrs. J. J. Raynes, of Rukuhia, gave a "linen a.nd china’’ gift afternoon for Miss McAuliffe. The guests had a very happytime with amusing competitions a.nd
