ALEXANDRA DAY IN LONDON
LADY WILFORD ORGANISES N.Z. BAND OF HELPERS On Alexandra Day a party of SO women organised by Lady Wnford assisted the sale of roses in the Strand, London, writes an overseals correspondent. Their headquarters were in New Zealand House. During the morning H.R.H. Princess Victoria, attended by the Duchess ot Portland, called at New Zealand House and personally thanked Lady Wilford and her party and the staff of New Zealand House who had been helping. It is expected that so far as the New Zealand effort is concerned the proceeds will constitute a record. Lad v Wilford’s helpers were:—Mrs. Batchelor, Mrs. Chaffey.
