BRIDE IN PINK FRILLED FROCK
BOUQUET OF CYCLAMEN AND ROSES GREEN—ASHBY VV At the West Street Church of Christ on Wednesday the wedding was celebrated of Mavis Doreen, youngest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. T. Ashby, of Tuperiri Road, Epsom, and William George, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Green, of Dunnikeer, Mount Albert. Pastor William Campbell performed the ceremony, and Pastor C. Cooney played the wedding music, the service being choral. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. T. W. M. Ashby, wore a dainty frock of pale pink frilled net and georgette. Her veil of handembroidered tulle was held in place with orange blossoms, and fell to form a long train. She carried a shower bouquet .of cyclamen and roses.
Misses Minnie and Betty Green, sisters of the bride, were bridesmaids, wearing frocks of pale green and heliotrope georgette respectively, fashioned with large bertha collars and uneven hemlines. They carired shower bouquets to ton© with their frocks. Mr. Douglas Penman acted as best man.
After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s mother, who received the guests frockc mother, who received the guests frocked in bottle green satin beaut©, with a hat to match. Mrs. Green had on a frock of black satin, with a black hat.
