LILIES AND GREENERY DECORATE CHURCH FOR TAUMARUNUI WEDDING

MANSFIELD—STEVENSON In a graceful frock of ivory georgette of ankle-length, and featuring the uneven hemline, with posy of orange blossom at the waist, and a fall of silver ribbon, Rose, the elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stevenson, of Taumarunui, was married to George Markham, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Mansfield, of Rotorua. The ceremony took place in the Presbyterian Church, Taumarunui. The Rev. C. Brierly officiated, and Mrs. E. Nesbit played the wedding music. Girl friends of the bride had decorated the church very beautifully with arum lilies and gre’enery. Mr. Stevenson gave his daughter away, and she was attended by her sister, Miss W. Stevenson, and Miss E. Autridge os maids. They were dressed in Victorian frocks of duchess blue taffeta and georgette, relieved with silver. Their crinoline hats were trimmed with tulle and flowers, and their bouquets were of pink sweet peas, stocks and maidenhair fern. Little Miss Brenda Naylor acted as train-bearer, and was daintily frocked in ivory georgette with a satin and tulle cap. She carried a horse-shoe of silver tissue and orange blossom. Mr. J. McKenzie, of Auckland, was in attendance as best man, and Mr. C. A. Stevenson, of Taumarunui, was groomsman. To receive her guests at tho reception in the Theatre Royal annexe the bride’s mother wore an ensemble of grey georgette and wool marocain. She carried a bouquet of sweet peas. The bridegroom’s mother wore a fawn ensemble and carried a bouquet of autumn tints. To travel In. the bride wore a frock of delphenium blue wool moracain, with white fox furs.
