RIDER BADLY HURT
HORSE FALLS AT FENCE HAWKE’S BAY ACCIDENT Press Association WAIPUKURAU, Today. A serious accident befell Alfred William Parsons, of Waipukurau, when hunting with the Hawke’s Bay Club at Tikokino. Mr. Parsons was riding a champion horse, Comet, and when taking a road double fence the horse took off too soon, landing on top of the fence and then falling heavily. Mr. Parsons was thrown receiving fractured ribs, concussion and severe shock. The horse was badly injured and may have to be destroyed.
