WIDOW’S CLAIM FAILS
DAMAGES ASKED FOR DEATH OF HUSBAND TIMBER COMPANY SUED From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Today. A widow named Anna Louisa Drever claimed £1,030 for the death of her husband, a contractor, against the Taupo Totara Timber Company. Drever contracted to cut posts and while lifting one ruptured his stomach and died. The court held that the work did not come under section 63 of the Act and dismissed the claim.
