PT. CHEVALIER CLUB

ANNUAL PRIZE NIGHT The annual prize distribution of the Point Chevalier Sailing Club was held recently in the club’s pavilion, Joan Street. Lancing took place till 9.30 pm., when the commodore, Mr. W. Allen, spoke on the year’s activity of the club. The during the season numbered 17. Twelve general handicap races were held, in addition to a race for boys and a race for women. A series of three races was held for the valuable trophies presented to the club byMr. and Mrs. Schmidt, and brought out a field of 19 boats, a record for the club. The president, Mr. M. J. Coyle, spoke on the year’s progress, and called on Mr. J. S. Fletcher, M.P., to present the prizes. Mr. Fletcher expressed pleasure at being able again to officiate, and congratulated the club on its good showing.
