AMBULANCE REUNION
WORK AT THE GREAT WAR Officers and men of the four New Zealand Field Ambulances, who left the Dominion with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force to serve on Gallipoli and the 'Western Front, the Mounted Ambulance in Palestine, and the motor, horse and camel transport attached to each company, will hold a big reunion on Saturday evening, August 9. The New Zealand Medicol Corps earned a great name on the various war fronts and decorations won include aC. 8.. 13 C.M.G.’s, 12 C.B.E.’s; 15 DS.O.’s, 28 Military Crosses, 19 0.8.E.’5, 10 M.B.E.’s 13. D.C.M.'s. US Military Medals, 21 Meritorious Service Medals, nine foreign decorations and many mentions in dispatches. The honours were mostly earned by doctors, N.C.O.'s and men in regimental aid posts, by stretcher-bearers and by members of dressing-staffs in casuality clearing-stations. This is the first combined reunion of field ambulance men in the Auckland Province and a large attendance is expected.
