W.C.T.U.

EfSOM BRANCH * The Epsom branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union, held its monthly meeting on Thursday afternoon in the Methodist Hall, when a good attendance of members and friends was presided over by Mrs. Benfell. Selected readings on the early days of temperance work by women in Auckland were given, and a fine tribute paid to the late Sir Robert Stout, an unceasing advocate of prohibition.
