AKARANA CLUB’S NIGHT A fine collection of cups and trophies, for which nearly all the necessary funds had been provided by the club itself, was presented at the annual prize-giving and dance of the Akarana Yacht Club, held in the clubhouse. Mechanics’ Bay, last evening. Mr. T. McKay, commodore, presided, and welcomed the prize-winners and dancers. Captain H. H. Sergeant presented the prizes as follow: Yachts.—Commodore’s Cup, Iona: White Cup, Huia; Heolin Cup, Manene; Brett Cup, Moa; Club Cup, Shalimar. The points flag was won by Manene with 25£ points, while Matarere won the Booby Cup.
