BIG FIELD LEAVES BERLIN IN AERIAL CONTEST BRITISH FLIERS LEADING Reed. 12.20 p.m. LONDON, Sun. Despite a heavy rainstorm, thousands of spectators, including the exCrown Prince, witnessed the departure of 60 airplanes in groups of five from the Templehof airdrome at Berlin on a 5,000 miles reliability flight round Europe, lasting from eight to 12 days. There were many British starters, including Lady Bailey and Miss Spooner. Mr. Butler was the first to arrive at Brunswick, which was the first stop. He was followed by all the British competitors. Eighty-one fliers arrived at Frankfort and 47 at Rheims. The Englishmen, Broad, Thorn and Butler, reached St. Inglevert ahead of the others.
