WOOL PRICES HOLD
NEW ZEALAND DISPOSALS AT LONDON SALES BIG FUTURE WITHDRAWALS LONDON, Friday. At the wool sales 10,628 bales were offered, including 2,990 from New Zealand. About 3,040 bales were sold. There was a small, hut fairly representative selection of greasy Merinos, a moderate selection of greasy crossbreds, a good offering of scoureds and a few slipes. Good competition, was shown and prices were unchanged. There are large withdrawals from future sales. New Zealand offerings included Glentanner, best combing, which reached 241 d. Pieces from the sale clip realised 23d, and finest halfbred slipe lambs WMECO sold at 12Jd.
