MOY HALL AS HURDLER

EX-AUCKLANDER PLEASES The ex-Auckland gelding, Moy Hall, after being nicely built up from very poor condition by Southland trainer J. A. Rowland, was put to a jumping test recently to see if he retained a knowledge of the hurdling game reputed to have been gained in Auckland some time ago (writes “Sir Modred”). The son of imported Cynic went into the battens fairly and squarely and without hesitation and with practice should give his trainer cause for satisfaction. At the present juncture Rowland has not yet made up his mind as to whether he will have Moy Hall qualified with the hounds or not, but he may elect to take this step, as hack hurdle races are not frequent in the south. After leaving J. T. Jamieson’s stable at Takinini, Moy Hall was for a time trained at Riccarton. While trained at Takanini, Moy Hall was owned by Mr. Colin W. Anderson.
