BARKING DOG WAKES OWNER Press Association ASHBURTON, Today. A five-roomed house, owned and occupied by Mr. AV. D. Plunkett, was destroyed, with its contents, by fire early this morning. Mr. Plunkett was awakened by a neighbour's dog barking. The place was then blazing, and he had difficulty in rescuing a child from a back room. The insurance was £SOO on the house in the New Zealand Office. There was none on the furniture.
