Sisal market quiet and easier. No. 1 fair average quality, for JuneAugust shipment, sold down to £27 10s, with sellers over at the close. Nominal value No. 2, £26 15s 6d. Afloat and early shipment still in plentiful supply. New Zealand market idle with few low bids made, but no business resulting. Fruit.—Rangitiki and Zealandic clearing steadily at lower prices. Average prices are: Apples.—Jonathan, 9s to 12s a case; Delicious and Premier, 10s to 12s; Dunn’s Favourite, 10s to 13s; London Pippin, 11s to 12s; Stunner, 11s to 13s; Cleopatra, Statesman; 12s to 14s; Vicar of Wakefield, 9s to 10s. Pears. —"Winter Cole, 9s to 12s a case; Keiffer’s and P. Barry, 10s to 12s; Winter Nelis, 10s to 14s; Beurre Bose, 11s to 14s. Wool.—Bradford market quiet. Strike collapsing and more activity expected after holiday. Merino tops inclined easier, crossbred fairly steady. Current quotations are:—64’s warp, 2s 5d to 2s 5Jd; average, 2s 41d; 56’s, Is 9d to Is 9£d; 50’s, prepared. Is s£d to Is 6d; 40’s, prepared, Is 4d.
